Outsourced CFO for small business
The financial leadership of a CFO. Without the full-time salary.
Your bookkeeper tells you what happened last month. A CFO tells you what to do next. Get senior-level financial guidance for your six- or seven-figure business, on a schedule and budget that fits.
Why it matters
Bookkeeping looks back. A CFO looks ahead.
Most small businesses have someone recording transactions. Very few have someone turning those numbers into decisions. That gap is where growth stalls, cash gets tight and tax bills come as a surprise.
Bookkeeper
“What happened?”
- Records income and expenses
- Reconciles bank accounts
- Runs payroll and pays bills
- Produces last month’s reports
CFO
“What should we do next?”
- Forecasts cash flow months ahead
- Sets budgets and tracks the numbers that matter
- Finds where you’re losing margin
- Plans taxes all year, not just in April
- Gets you ready for loans and investors
- Helps you decide when to hire, expand or raise prices
You need both. Our bookkeeping & payroll team keeps the records accurate; your CFO turns them into a plan.
The benefits
What a CFO brings to your business.
Predictable cash flow
A rolling 13-week cash forecast shows shortfalls before they happen, so payroll and big bills are never a surprise.
Higher profit margins
We break down profit by product, service and customer to show what’s really making you money — and what isn’t.
Smarter tax strategy
Year-round planning with the same team that prepares your return: entity structure, timing of purchases, retirement plans and quarterly estimates.
Confident decisions
Should you hire, open a second location, buy equipment or raise prices? Model the numbers before you commit.
Easier access to capital
Clean financial statements, forecasts and a lender-ready package make bank loans, SBA loans and credit lines easier to get.
Your time back
Stop being your own finance department. One monthly meeting replaces late nights in spreadsheets.
Is it time?
Signs your business needs a CFO.
If two or more of these sound familiar, a CFO will likely pay for itself.

Questions
CFO services, explained.
What is an outsourced (fractional) CFO?
A senior financial professional who works with your business part-time, usually through monthly reports and meetings, instead of as a full-time employee. You get the strategy without the full-time salary and benefits.
How big does my business need to be?
Most of our CFO clients have between $250K and $10M in annual revenue. If you’re growing and making decisions that involve real money, it’s worth a conversation.
Do I have to switch my bookkeeper?
No. We can work with your current bookkeeper, or take bookkeeping over as part of the Essentials and Growth packages.
How is this different from my tax preparer?
Tax preparation reports on a year that’s already over. CFO services plan the year ahead — including taxes — so there are fewer surprises when it’s time to file.
